Ballet in Botanic

Ondine_1412143c.jpg

This past week we have had wonderful, wonderful weather! It was cloudless for 3 straight days and in the late 60s! Wonderful weather! And now it's over- but not before I could enjoy it a bit. One thing was Ballet in Botanic. The Botanic gardens is a beautiful place to enjoy the summer weather. Surrounded by green grass, flowering plants of different kinds and space! to move around.

Amalia and I went to Botanic around 5:00 and had a picnic dinner  while enjoying the sun and watching people. If you've never done it I highly recommended. :) One of the opening acts was a College boys group that played classic Irish music. Here is a taste of it:

The Royal Opera House in London sponsored our watching the live performance of Ondine. The ballet was beautiful, such a pleasure to watch. The story line is about a fairy that falls in love with a human then how he betrays her, only to come back to her but her kiss is now fatal- and he kisses her and dies. Are all ballets tragic? I think so.
